Greetings -
I know, this is not a letter format, and yet some sort of acknowledgement to the reader is due.
I am still acclimating to this new, tiny, computer. Many aspects of the lovely blue technological wonder are pleasing, others disappointing and a few mystifying. I like the sleek lightweight design and nifty blue exterior. I like the flipbook-i-bility of it - tablet / triangle / tradish laptop setup. I envisioned using the various modes for various functions; however, the load time for internet use is disappointingly slow, limiting the functionality of the entire little device. I bought it for is affordable price, which may have informed its capacity.
Well, no worries, I shall love it for what it is and it shall be my companion on many an adventure.
Once I figure (take the time) to link it to some photos (and take some more photos) then I will really add some visual dynamics to the posts. The blog is through blogger (gmail) I have photos on my google drive - but I have yet to figure out how to get the photo from the drive to the blog.
I am a trial and error, blunder through it, do it the long way if need be in my approach to technology, so I will blunder onto a solution soon.
Actually I have not been putting in any computer time all week - I check my social media and email from my phone as I go about my chores, relaxing, crafting, and other daily tasks. But sit down to a computer, not so much.
I think about things I want to accomplish at the computer: blog posting, business planning, and writing. That is it really for now. I am not even considering job searching, yet. I need to know what I want to do. I actually know what I want to do, I am just building up the nerve and plan to do it.
I want to close proof Wren and Ignacio so I can more confidently sell it (as in, full court press to local bookshops, readings and signings at coffee shops / galleries / public events). I also want to write / research / revise / write my Medusa work - it has had good reviews and interest this far, and I am still inspired by it and there is more to write. I find the story flows when I sit down to write, so more of that please.
I also want to create knit / crochet craft wares - needle holder bags, progress markers, needle tip wranglers (to keep those wild stitches from slipping of the needle when untended. I want to sell them via etsy and local knitting stores and knitting / fiber fairs.
In conjunction with the above knit craft, I intend on modifying t-shirts into way crazy cool and comfy garments. I am starting with some of mine to get a feel for it, then I want to sell them. I will troll local thrift stores on dollar days and half off sales for interesting, unusual or fun t-shirts of various sizes, then transform them into unique threads.
I also want to provide group-building facilitation (college groups, corporate groups, retreats....)I am developing a plan for that and researching needs (like liability insurance / cost and availability).
I have taken time to process what has been and allow the seeds of possibility to germinate. Now I begin the work of preparing for the next phase. Unleashing my creative self and trusting.
