Female Readers Inpire, Educate, Nurture, Delight

I met with some friends tonight. As I sat reflecting and preparing this post, I came up with a fitting acronym:
Female
Readers
Inspire
Educate
Nurture
Delight

We gather one Friday evening a month to chat about a book we read, to knit, and to delight in each others' company.

This month's read, Underground Railroads, was a popular favorite. I, still on the wait-list at the library, anticipate an enjoyable experience when finally I am able to read the text.

I am blessed to have a group of women with whom to meet, chat, share observations on life, opinions on books and world events, and to knit with.  To belong to a group is so important.
We humans crave belonging, without it we pine, decline, resign ourselves to lonely lives.

I hope some women (and fellows too!) read my book as part of a book group, and meet to chat about their take on the events, characters, and their own lives.
