The final day of the year tends to catalyze reflection in a manner similar to spring inspiring poetry. A cliche, undoubtedly; nonetheless, I shall embark on such a mental journey. The final quarter of the year has proved personally, professionally and socially tumultuous and stressful. However, look carefully beyond the attention drawing events of the preceding weeks and pan out to a wide angle view of the entire year, and I am pleased to note many high points, including:
Afterward we partook of cake and champagne with a friend in town.
I also had many opportunities to connect with family and friends over the course of the year, including travel and celebration.

- achieved personal enrichment: moved in to a house, with a yard, promoted my book at a library event celebrating local authors.
