Wriggling worms and sloshy yard
The weather fluctuates dramatically during March: freezing cold nights juxtaposed against sunny afternoon; or gray cold day then cold night followed by hard winds and snow.
Today the sun shines and a soft breeze blows. I hung clothes on the line to dry in the breeze and capture that 'outdoor' smell, to be inhaled later off the bed sheet to inspire sweet dreams.
I noticed small pink worms wriggling in the pools of water gather in dips of the black plastic laid out to warm garden bed soil for planting.
The low-lying areas of the yard are squishy and squelchy underfoot, though it is yet to cold to plod around comfortably bare footed, I take a few steps to connect with the earth.
I take a moment to appreciate the loveliness of the day, the pockets of nature in my world.
