Soul shifts

Life is full of liminal times, times when we are between that which was and that which is becoming. Fitting that such seasons of the soul should correspond with autumnal shifts. The change is occurring, whether you note it or not. Days slowly shortening, temperatures varying, creatures moving to winter homes, others arriving from summer stays, Trees and plants storing energy and preparing to shed old parts.
So does the soul shift in liminal times. The spirit stores away needed items, and doffs extraneous bits, or bits about to be lost to frosts. The light is different, how we see the world in the changed light is confusing, strange, at time beautiful.
And then, some small spark of radiance illuminates the bright spots of change - radiant even in their fleeting moment. What are the leaves of my change? What are the shifts of light? What was I and what am I becoming. I don't have the answers for these questions, I am experiencing the shifts and can only perceive them through the lens of metaphor.
