Group work works!

I teach. I facilitate learning through conversation, hands-on activities, explanation, and group projects. Tonight the class is working in trio's to develop persuasive speeches. Listening to them deeply discuss their subjects, brainstorm important points, suggest resources is so exciting!
They are collaborating so effectively, and in the process learning so much about research, credibility, rhetoric, critical thinking, persuasion, organizing and outlining. Way more than they would learn by my talking to them!
Huzzah! I am already looking forward to the speeches they well deliver in two weeks.
