Cozy room - for mnd and spirit
The south-eastern most room of our house has recently converted from an underused tool room for my fellow into a study. He moved his tool storage to the basement, and his desk and books to the 'upstairs' loft area so that we might get more use out of the room, which heretofore was a catchall for his scattered stuff. He did not spend much time in the room, as it was more storage than anything.
In the week since he made the change - we have spent time in there everyday!
The morning light streams in, making it the ideal morning tea and reading space. The cats and I love the spots of sun in which to repose. Afterwork, Angelo, mi esposa, and I sit, each in our own snug little chair, and read our respective books. The energy of the room is peaceful. Even in the afternoon the room is bright, and warm from the passive heat generated by the sunshine on the south side of the house.
We spend much more time reading than watching videos.
I also moved my sewing desk in by the window - ah! I have spent a couple afternoons sewing, with the promise of more to follow.
Amazing how a space can really resonate.
