Middle of the night letter
When I awoke in the middle of the night
I would write, sharing my thoughts,
Opening my heart, mind to the ever present connection
Because could feel the presence
Always there
But now it is gone
The open door closed
The stream of consciousness unwanted
I guess that I did not anticipate the loss
I trusted the connection
As I move past the initial shock
The fear and pain, and into a cognitive reflection
Of The ramifications, I find my instinctual initial response apt
Losing the omnipresent connection results in a loss of self,
An opening of worlds made possible in the soul connection is not possible alone.
So I must learn to live within the limits of a closed world.
