Been to the state fair this week - saw these two proudly presiding over all.  The crowds milled about bumping and jostling into each other en route to see the big boar or buy some food on a stick.  Not a fan of crowds, I tried to find the widest paths and least viewed venues.  The indoors displays were uncomfortably crowded; I would no sooner make my way through the bottleneck crunch of the entrance than I was bee-lining to the nearest exit.
Managed to to see many new things this year - a pioneer village, of sorts, the big ram and big boar, some pigs on parade to... I know not where, and the view from the highest hill.

We wandered in the rv's on display - all much to large for our tastes.  We crave a Cricket trailer or a teardrop - that is all.

I have been updating my ravelry posts - committing myself to that crafting community with an openness I have heretofore been reticent to share since moving to this plains state.
Writing, or reading readying to revise my memoir novel. I am pleased with parts, while other chapters need much addition, alteration, segue-tion. (Ok, so I made segue-tion up.)
