the hat

The cleaning of the linen hat was a success.  I managed to clean it without shrinking it, or loosing the shape.
I may traipse about behatted once again.

The parakeets are chitter-chatter-chirpy this morning.  My fellow could sing the camp song:
"Early in the morning
When I'm fast asleep
I hear a little birdie
it goes cheep cheep"

Because the birds cacauphony awakens him.

I am newly on the quest for a camper to haul behind my lovely red station wagon.   I want to have the ease of travel and the space to haul cats and birds along.  My backpacking tent does not afford that particular type of portability.
I have found the craft I covet - the cricket trailer!
I like the geeky aerodynamic functionality.  I like the color and the design, I like the lightweight feasibility of hauling.  I have visions of trekking and selling my photos and crafts.  Attending events and visiting family and friends.  Of touring national parks.  All with the ease and comfort of a low impact home on wheels, spacious enough for birds and cats too.

Someday, perhaps.
Now I need save for a long planned tropical beach birthday -  in the bahamas.
