Why does barometirc pressure wield such power?

The sky is clear and bright blue.  The oak leaves quiver at branch tip in the gentle breeze.  Looks like a glorious August day.  Is, in fact, a glorious August day,  and yet I am sluggish, sleepy as if drugged by some unknown concoction.  What, I wonder is the barometric pressure? Did it spike? or drop drastically? Am I reacting on a cellular level to an unseen, yet powerful, force?

My hope is to battle the sleepy-headed slug with hydration.  Will it work? I don't know.
In the interest of accurate record keeping, I do not have a migraine (I say with gratitude).  If I spend any time in the sun, though, my head begins to throb as if my blood vessels have to work to hard in the heat.

I fell into a 35 minute nap, unintentionally.  I sat down after lunch intending to knit, but feel asleep nearly instantly upon sitting.   I am not a nap taker.  I do not easily fall asleep by day or night.  In fact I struggle with falling asleep at 'bedtime' and if I awaken during the night.
