Reading is not enough

I am a reader. I spend much of my time reading - for pleasure, for work, for study, to communicate...
I read online: email, web-pages, virtual texts; I read print: letters, magazines, books, and sundry.

I enjoy reading, and am grateful for the time spent reading, and, paradoxically, I take reading for granted.

I also recognize, that as I study, reading is not enough. In addition to reading I must apply.  I read and take notes, which helps me to understand and remember, and sets-up the intent to apply concepts.  Yet, until I put the ideas, concepts, knowledge, and words into action, intent does not reach fruition.

So, I will move beyond intention to action. I will conduct experiential projects (a name provided by my current coursework). I will create and follow a menu.

I will print and share my current draft of my Medusa piece (novella length work).

I will post to my blog, sharing my successes, challenges, failures, and inspirations.

I will create. I will revel. I will laugh and love and live the things that I read and want to emulate or perpetuate.
