lovely holy basil

My mason jar sits empty except for the tilted bombilla resting on the saturated leaves remaining after I drank the delightful infusion of freshly harvested holy basil (Ocimum tenuflorium).
The plant was my focus of study this morning, so I happily harvested some leaves to steep while I worked on my experiential project for the "Cultivating a Relationship with Plants" unit of study. I wrote up a journal entry recording my efforts to grow, harvest and ingest holy basil.

Taking time to relish the sunshine, temperature and breeze as the seasons subtly shift enables me to remain in tune with the natural cycles.

I am grateful for my senses and the surroundings to sense. I am grateful for the abundant gifts given by plants. I am grateful.
