Okra to gumbo


So pleased my okra yielded a multitude of okra pods, I took it as ideal opportunity to make my first pot of gumbo!
Since I am gluten-free and dairy free in all my eating, and because I am completely unfamiliar with gumbo, I sought out a recipe online.

 In addition to the okra, ingredients in the soup harvest from my garden include: tomatoes, cayenne pepper, celery, and parsley.  I am pleased to make a dish featuring so many home-grown produce items.





As the gumbo is still boiling, I cannot yet report how yummy are the results. I will report back later!
